Complete Warehouse Services – Nottingham

Full Design | Feature Moss Wall | Furniture | Partitioning |

Warehouse Specialists – Complete Warehouse Services approached Proici with an admirable request, to transform and refurbish their warehouse mezzanine first floor in Nottingham into a unique and inviting office environment that feels separate from the warehouse floor.

Proici worked closely with Complete Warehouse Services, analysing their working practices and business requirements to craft the ideal brief for our client that would compliment their brand and their values while having the added benefit of improving morale within the work environment.

In order to create an eye-catching office work space, we decided to utilise a biophilic approach to our design, including the installation of a bespoke feature living moss wall in 3 different styles encased in a timber frame surrounding the clients acrylic logo. Greenery has also been included on the new rustic wooden panel desks and modern lighting fixtures alongside living potted plants strategically placed around the office environment.

This approach to design is unique and brings many well-being benefits to the workplace including a better state of mind, calmness in the workplace and much more which can be read in our Free Biophilic PDF.

Biophilic environments are still rare in the UK, therefore we crafted accurate and highly realistic in-house 3D visuals of our client’s future space in order give them peace of mind while being able to experience their new space before placing their order. To accompany these renders, we also created a 360-degree interactive walkthrough of the space.

Careful consideration was taken in sourcing the flooring covering materials to keep in-line with the natural aesthetics of the space, including luxury plank vinyl tiles and biophilic effect cut loop carpet planks to match the natural appeal of the space.

We installed full height frameless glazed partition walls between the central space of the mezzanine level to create seperate office and meeting spaces, with a grass effect manifestation across the lower half of the glass partition to keep in with the theme.

Air conditioning and ventilation systems were installed into the office and meeting space to enable optimal working temperatures while providing much desired fresh air.

Carsi Collection

Carsi Collection – Nottingham

Full Design | Furniture | Retail | Bespoke

Carsi Collection are pioneers of luxurious high-quality women’s garments, debuting in Portugal, they quickly gained traction online which pushed the company to expand. A key turning point for Carsi was their move to the United Kingdom’s High street.

Andreia Silva, The Founder of Carsi Collection, wanted to open her first boutique in the fashionable heart of Nottingham City Centre. The boutique was to accurately reflect the luxurious appeal communicated by the Carsi Brand while providing customer with a unique and enjoyable shopping experience.

An initial survey of the two-floor shell on Bridlesmith gate exhibited the need for significant works throughout the building, having been in a state of dilapidation due to a long period of unoccupancy.

Proici worked intensively with Andreia to determine a brief that would not only compliment and communicate the brand and its values, but also provide an eye-catching interior that has a unique aesthetic.

The main obstacle during this build was working with the existing building and its narrow footprint, whilst trying to deliver a sense of spaciousness and openness. The main shop floor features classic marble effect flooring through to the changing rooms. Bespoke polished brass clothing rail systems were specifically designed to add some richness whilst delivering on the practicalities of clothing displays.

A one-of-a-kind 130sq ft suspended wisteria flower feature is a key feature within the shop, designed to draw attention from the street, giving the space softness and a light pink hue. An artificial cherry blossom tree in the changing rooms ties the spaces together and offers another great instagrammable space to aid the growth of the client’s social media following. A sense of luxury is transmitted through the use of materials and textures in this space and the use of heavy velvet curtains adds to the sense of luxuriousness to this unique boutique.

Shaw Trust – Chelmsford

Shaw Trust Collaboration Hub – Chelmsford

Full Design | Furniture | Fit Out | Tea Point | Agile & Collaboration Working Spaces

Shaw Trust, the UK’s leading third-sector provider of employment services, approached us with the aim to design an employee Collaboration & Hybrid Working Hub in Chelmsford Essex.

Shaw Trust, a registered charity since 1982, takes no shortcuts in their goal to support their employees with over 3000+ working nationally, many of which from home.

Proici has worked with Shaw Trust for many years, designing and creating nationwide spaces while building confidence and mutual trust through consecutive successful handovers on a nationwide scale.

One of the primary goals of this project was to design and accommodate distinct hybrid working environments, collaborative meeting spaces, and breakout areas that met the needs of the regional employees.

Our second objective was to ensure the space had a friendly, relaxing non-corporate vibe so our creative team incorporated a Resimercial Design. With a combination of “residential” and “commercial,” interiors, resimercial design brings aspects of home into the contemporary workspace.

Yeung Sing

Bingham Town House Hotel, Bar 15 & Yeung Sing Restaurant

Full Design | WC Fit Out | Bespoke Carpentry | Furniture | Flooring | Partitioning | Plumbing

The proprietor of the exclusive Bingham Town House Hotel, Bar 15 & Yeung Sing Fine dining restaurant in the heart of Bingham’s market town, approached Proici about renovating their Restroom & Bar facilities.

The bar and restaurant areas required a facelift and refurbished ceilings, lighting, decoration and furniture to compliment the premium food and beverage offering.

The restrooms were in need of renovation and didn’t meet the high expectations of the guests, some of which travel across the country to stay and dine at this destination hotspot. At the same time the country was experiencing the impact of the Covid19 pandemic and the hospitality industry in particular was under threat. To be able to open to the Public all hospitality had to offer safe and hygienic solutions to all bars, restaurants and hotels.

Our client wanted to offer a safe, clean, hygienic and pleasurable experience to all their visitors and asked Proici to design, develop and construct an All Gender Inclusive premium restroom solution to meet the standards set by the award winning hotel and restaurant and in line with Government Health & Safety guidelines.

Proici are at the forefront in offering cross sectoral Covid19 safe solutions to our clients and so were able to draw from our practical and design expertise when meeting the brief.

The original separate masonry constructed male and female facilities were demolished to accommodate a number of luxurious ‘All Gender’ Inclusive individual unisex cloakrooms. Each cloakroom was unique and opulently styled with bespoke artwork, colour schemes and carpentry with modern energy efficient facilities.

To meet the demands of Hygiene and Covid19, Proici specified bathroom fittings that didn’t require touch, selecting Sanitary ware and Lighting products controlled by PIR (passive infrared) movement and Proximity sensors.

Quality bathroom fittings were selected for their energy efficient performance including Water Saving solutions and low energy LED light fittings which were also controlled by PIR (passive infrared) movement and Proximity sensors.

Proici collaborated with artists including “Modern Love” to create bespoke commissioned artwork with a distinctive oriental aesthetic, these exceptional pieces were applied as wall murals to each cloakroom. Pantone paint colours were referenced from within the artwork and applied to all joinery, walls and ceilings, creating a seamless and harmonious solution.

The bespoke Joinery including doors, wall cladding and vanity cabinets were constructed with a heritage-style raised bead design. Gilded Heritage Brass fittings were used throughout the design of the cubicles and lobby area, including antique brass taps, basins, mirrors, ironmongery, lights and consumables that all contribute to the overall visual impact of the spaces in contrast to the plain vibrant paint colours and Neutral Black Oak wooden grain plank flooring.

JHC – Birmingham

JHC – Birmingham

Full Design | Furniture | Agile Working | Partitioning | Tea Point

JHC has approached Proici for a variety of services over the years, including an open plan refurbishment of their head office in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and Proici was the obvious choice for their expansion into Birmingham, thanks to our excellent service and professional fit out works during the previous project.

The agile working environment was to be situated on the 6th floor of the multi-tenanted Temple Point Building in Birmingham, a project which would be subject to working and access restrictions – A challenge Proici was more than ready and equipped to carry out.

Client satisfaction is our number one goal, therefore we worked closely with JHC to help alleviate the hassle of the relocation process, providing both removals and transport to the new premise.

The works included a complete redesign and fit-out of the Temple Point Building space with a key focus being to create a variety of working environments within their limited space. Meeting rooms, office spaces, breakout space and a bespoke tea-point were created by utilising a mixture of solid partitions, full height Crittall style glass partitions and operable walls.

Small acoustic privacy booths in varied colours were also created in the same fashion, residing within stepping distance of the main office space giving staff adaptability in the work environment.

A brand focused colour injection was applied to the entire space to not only make the space more unique and modern but also provide a source of sensory stimuli, a large influence on the well-being of staff by providing a place for their eyes to rest.

UNiDAYS Head Office

UNiDAYS Head Office

Full Design & Build | Dilapidation | Furniture | Bespoke Joinery | Flooring

Finalist at FIS Awards – Design & Contractor Installation over £1 million Category

UNiDAYS approached Proici with a formidable request; could we develop their unique Head Office, a 6 storey lace mill building dating back to 1907 in central Nottingham totaling 2400m2 (25,800 sq ft) and transform the dilapidated interior where 4 floors were currently derelict and create a modern, contemporary office to accommodate up to 350 staff.

We were also tasked to improve the appearance of the building which was worn and bygone with both exterior and interior not projecting the image of UNiDAYS, a vibrant company, Winner of Lloyds Bank Digital Business of the Year Awards and The Sunday Times 9th Fastest UK Growing Tech Company.

Naturally we were excited to work with UNiDAYS to meet the challenge… – Martin Harcourt

The UNiDAYS Lace Mill building is relatively unique, having retained many of its original architectural features which have been removed in similar buildings in recent years in Nottingham, we wanted to create a natural synergy between UNiDAYS and the buildings origins and spent many hours selection materials which could be associates in the design. This Proici interior design would ultimately help UNiDAYS define their brand, linking Nottingham, Nottingham Lace & UNiDAYS together and this design will be represented throughout the UNiDAYS global office network.

From concept, through to completion Proici has managed every element within this multi-million-pound project utilising our in-house creative design team and experienced quality installation team to achieve a potentially award winning development that our client and Proici will admire for years to come.

01. Ground and Basement Floor

The ground and basement floors created a significant challenge, the space had been un-used for many years and damp had become the resident occupier with all the window frames having rotted and boarded for security. We needed to create a light and pleasant working environment to encourage the employees and boost morale in the workplace.

The first step was to consider the lighting levels, to begin we removed all 32no. rotten timber windows and doors and replaced with powder coated aluminium, solar control, thermally insulated and security double glazed windows and doors. To enable additional light to stream into the ground floor we installed a large 6m x 2m aluminium roof light and we penetrated the ground floor to create a 4m x 5m atrium to create a light tunnel to dramatic effect and expose more light into the dark and dingy basement.

To overcome the damp the walls were damp proofed & tanked before all walls and ceilings were plaster boarded, skimmed and decorated to blend in seamlessly with the remaining design plan.

02. Third and Fourth Floor

Working from the top of the building Proici designed then constructed the third and fourth floors creating offices, meeting rooms, meeting booths, breakout space, teapoint and dining areas and WC environments.

We removed large rotten timber roof windows and replaced with powder coated aluminium, solar control and thermally insulated double glazed roof light windows each 6m x 2m generating wonderful natural light levels.

03. Bespoke Design

We designed and constructed unusual, one-of-a-kind bespoke features within the building including a solid Oak Auditorium seat & stair linking the basement and ground floors to enable staff to sit & work while allowing a natural light tunnel through to the basement. A seating solution was designed and utilised on the Oak stairs to aid the merging of the surrounding space.

One of the key features of the ground space was a bespoke Proici design and construction of a Tree House information meeting and breakout space which alongside small reclaimed shed meeting spaces, had a cargo net installed on the higher platform for a unique breakout experience.

A full mechanical, electrical, lighting and data solution was designed and installed working with the natural building structure restrictions and maintaining clean sight lines.

We designed and constructed a village of Beach Hut meeting booths with an adjoining Changing Hut cloak area in order to give a diversity of meeting spaces while the floor covering material was sourced to aid the beach theme.

The design team worked intensively to select and source floor covering materials to aid each of the buildings themes and to adhere to the desired aesthetic appearance of each space including an mesmerising zen design on the ground floor.

DWP – Shaw Trust Leicester

Shaw Trust – Leicester

Full Design | Furniture | Dilapidation | Tea Point | Agile Working Spaces

Shaw Trust has been a registered charity since 1982 and are the UK’s largest third sector providers of employment services for people with a disability or at a disadvantage. They help over 50,000 people per year find suitable training schemes or employment and they employ 1600 people throughout their 200-plus locations.

Shaw Trust approached us with the desire to formulate a new style of Innovative Hubs for a national rollout campaign. Each hub required a warm and social environment with instant kerb appeal from the street level, demonstrating brand values through a personable aesthetic.

Proici have worked closely with Shaw Trust throughout the years, building a mutual trust and providing Shaw Trust with the confidence that we would be able to design and build their ideal environment, boasting a modern tea-point and kitchen alongside multiple breakout and working spaces designed to boost morale and entice potential clientele.

The key focus of this project was to create a bright working environment that balanced colour contrasts while managing the natural lighting levels from the large windows at the front of house.

The “Coffee Shop” and working office areas were to share a common theme based around the Shaw Trust brand colours, being green, blue, orange and lilac. The Coffee Shop area will be the ‘public face’ of this design, with its aesthetics providing the much-desired kerb appeal. For this reason, the Coffee Shop, although visibly part of the overall interior brand has been designed to have its own visual identity.

Throughout the design process, extreme care has been taken to ensure the environment remains less corporate and more ‘friendly’ for a greater customer experience. Examples of this can been seen in the wall murals, having been chosen for their colours and abstract images from nature, following a biophilic theme which invites relaxation and revitalisation of the senses.

Due to the nature of the client’s business, it was a necessity that the design be disability compliant for visitors and staff in accordance with BS8300, requiring plenty of open and easy to access spaces without compromising workplace efficiency.

Nurture Fertility offer the highest standards of patient care and comfort for couples and individuals seeking fertility treatment throughout the UK.

Nurture Fertility approached us with the desire to transform and refurbish their newly acquired premises in Burton-on-Trent into a warm and welcoming private IVF clinic including a lounge with capacious spaces with plenty of natural light and refined colour contrasts.

Countrywide PLC – Nationwide

17 Brands Over 15-30 Branches | Full Design | Fit Out | Furniture | AC

Countrywide PLC, one of the UKs leading estate agent chains, approached Proici with the aim to modernise and reinvigorate their corprate branding.

Many of Countrywide’s brands including Abbotts, Bairstow Eves, Mann and Miller had become dated and uninviting and therefore were underperforming, they needed to be brought up to modern standards to match Countrywide’s ethos.

Our initial focus was on the Palmer Snell Brand where we created a revolutionary design which is still the forefront of estate agent design around the country and is the cornerstone of welcoming design. Our attention to detail and outstanding design and refurbishment throughout the Palmer Snell Project allowed us to win the roll-out program over an additional 17 brands over 15-30 branches on a nationwide basis.
